About Us
We are a couple, married for 18 years, having always dreamed of owning a historic home. After years of dreaming and planning, and a few months of searching, we kind of fell upon the Read House. It was not easy to buy given its condition and the bank's need for an appraisal; moreover, due to the fiasco we went through. But, after weeks and weeks of perseverance, the house and land is ours.
Wade is a Physics/Chemistry teacher with vast experience in carpentry, mechanics (ASE certified), electrical work and just about anything else.
Tara is a nurse with experience in woodworking, sewing, and crafts. She is, to her own surprise, capable of learning and doing most of the work that needs to be done.
