Attic Work in Summer of 2006
We encountered many wasp nests, several of which were still active. They made their nests out of the old insulation. Needless to say, they were not happy about our interference with their homes.
After running the 2nd floor duct work, electric and satellite cable, we used a combination of the old insulation and new fiberglass to fill in the joist spaces. Due to our respective jobs, July/August was the only time we could get together to complete this task. The weather outside was over 100. You can imagine how hot it got up there with pants, long sleeve shirts and masks.
We then laid down plywood to create some storage space.
Here you see the second quadrant of the attic with its plywood laid.
